St. Kitts Dives Into Beneath The Sea 2011 Island’s Dive Product Showcased at the US’ Largest Consumer Scuba and Dive Travel Expo
Basseterre, St. Kitts (March 31, 2011) – From March 25-27, 2011, representatives from and sister island of Nevis participated again this year in the Beneath the Sea 35th annual Oceans Exposition and Dive Travel Show at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, tempting the record-breaking number of attendees to experience diving in the twin-island Federation.
The delegation from St. Kitts & Nevis was made up of individuals from both the private and public sector, as follows (pictured left to right)-

- Danielle Grieger, Scuba Safaris
“This is a key niche market event for us because it allows us to have direct interaction with potential divers in a top geographic region driving travel to St. Kitts,” said Mrs. Rosecita Jeffers, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “Dive travel is known to be relatively recession proof and these individuals tend to have a high on-island spend, which yields a direct benefit to our local economy.”Over the course of the three day event, thousands of show attendees including potential dive travelers, dive industry professionals and members of the media stopped by the St. Kitts booth to learn more about the destination and what it has to offer scuba divers. Representatives from the St. Kitts Tourism Authority were joined by on island dive operators, talking about the dive product, answering questions with a smile and providing a firsthand experience of the islands’ renowned hospitality. Many interested individuals took home flyers and other materials, so learning about the diving in St. Kitts & Nevis can continue long after the show ended.
