Ladera’s 20th Anniversary Celebration

Begins on April 5, 2012

A Delicious Gift from Ladera to its Guests

April 5, 2012, Soufrière, St. Lucia, West Indies — Ladera Resort, the legendary St. Lucia hotel known for its pioneering open-air architecture, luxury hospitality and eco-friendly practices at 1,100 feet above the Caribbean Sea, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary Year in 2012 by launching an exciting new offer that generously gives back to its guests.

Starting today, the first 1,100 people (or 550 couples) who book a Hilltop Dream Suite or Luxury Villa under the new “Anniversary Package” promotion will receive all of their meals, every day during their stay, at no extra charge. The offer includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at Ladera’s legendary restaurant Dasheene, one of the Caribbean’s most highly regarded tables known for its innovative West Indian cuisine, unobstructed views of the sunset and the Piton Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A selection of beverages with meals are included. The offer applies to new bookings only and is based on a five-night minimum stay reserved at the regular published rates. The offer is valid on direct bookings made on when mentioning the promotional code 20ANNIV for stays taking place now through December 21, 2012. It is not combinable with other special offers.

“Throughout this special Anniversary Year, we’re taking the extra step to recognize, and thank, our new and returning guests,” says Olivier Bottois, Ladera’s Vice President of Marketing & Operations. “This is our gift in return for two decades of astounding success and hotel leadership in St. Lucia.”

Since opening two decades ago, Ladera has become the top Caribbean haven for celebrities, honeymooners and trendsetters. The resort pioneered the concept of the open-air, three-walled guest suite that remains the signature design of Ladera and which has become a ubiquitous style, now de rigueur at resorts throughout Saint Lucia. The missing fourth wall allows the most spectacular views of the Sea, unobstructed sunsets, and the volcanic Piton Mountains.

Dasheene Restaurant is one of the highlights of any stay at Ladera, offering some of the most refined dining in the Caribbean and without a doubt the most dramatic views. The open-air dining room features breathtaking vistas of the rainforest, the dramatic Piton peaks and the Caribbean Sea below. Dasheene’s elegant decor uses natural fabrics and woods to complement the birds-eye view of the island. The menu features Chef de Cuisine Nigel Mitchell’s innovative interpretations of Saint Lucian and Caribbean specialties, based on local produce, fresh fish and colorful presentations.

During Ladera’s 20th Anniversary Year, the resort will also unveil five additional connecting luxury one-bedroom Hilltop Dream suites on Paradise Ridge, opening in October 2012. Other noteworthy developments in the Anniversary Year include a new fitness room, outfitted with state-of-the-art workout equipment. Yoga classes are also now on offer. The Ti Kai Posé Spa, which now incorporates more natural, organic treatments, will offer new outdoor Couples Massages on Paradise Ridge, a completely private retreat area of the resort which overlooks the Caribbean Sea and Pitons.

Ladera has received numerous outstanding awards over the years, including Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice award when Ladera was voted not only the “Best Hotel in the Caribbean,” but given the ultimate accolade “Best Hotel in the World”. The honor marked the first and only time in the 18 year history of the awards that a Caribbean hotel was given the number one position in the world on the “Best of the Best” list. Ladera is ready to reach even greater heights as the “Best of the Best” hotel in the world.
