I hope to reach as many of you as possible to share “Chuckles” latest news.
As most of you already know, the Rideau Canal has undergone many changes in the past year and there are still many more to come making the operation of our tours very difficult with all the cuts and restrictions. So we looked at other places within driving distance where we could continue our tours and it didn’t take us very long to find the perfect spot.
I am happy to tell you that as of this May, we have joined forces with the 1000 Islands Playhouse in Gananoque on the Saint Lawrence. We offer packages consisting of a play and a three hour tour in the Thousand Islands at $78.00 per person. We also offer the same tour without the play at $50.00 per person.
I have researched the area. Also have made many exploratory tours just to see what would suit our guests best. I have come up with a couple of routes which can be done in the three hour tour with a break in the middle at an island equipped with tables, washrooms and some shelter. We will make a stop-over on the island for about 20 minutes. When you get back on board, coffee, tea, iced water and cookies will be on the table – as usual. We also offer charters at an hourly rate (minimum 4 hours). The charters give the opportunity of a longer tour where we can visit Bolt Cassle, go to Clayton (New York), or go to Ivy Lea club/restaurant for lunch. There are many combinations to suit all tastes.
The Playhouse will handle all the bookings – whether there is a play involved or not. Their phone number is: 1-866-382-7020 or 613-382-7020
