Breathe it in!

The fresh air of Norfolk County …
from Port Dover to Long Point.

Not so long ago, September meant back-breaking hard work in the tobacco fields of Norfolk County.

Farm work is still hard — and this month we celebrate the people who put food on our tables.

Come for a stay:

Ontario’s largest fair

Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is Ontario’s largest fair held outside of a city.

Slated for October 2 through 8, don’t miss grandstand performances from Dean Brody (Oct 5) and Chantal Kreviazuk (Oct 6).

If you go to one fair this year, Norfolk County Fair is the place to visit.

You can still buy Norfolk strawberries

Until frost hits the farm fields of Norfolk County, our farmers will continue to harvest produce, including everbearing strawberries. No offence, California, but ours are much tastier and didn’t need a passport to get here.

A devastating frost hit Norfolk County’s apple crop and sour cherry orchards this spring, so unfortunately we are short on those items. But there are still lots of other fruit and vegetables, so…

Trios are a big hit at The Cider Keg Farm Market, on Highway 24 (after the bend), south of Simcoe. Open 7 days of the week.
