Lunenburg, a small, quaint town on the coast, is home to the most famous racing boat in Canada, the Bluenose II.  Bluenose II is operated by the Lunenburg Marine Museum Society on behalf of the Province of Nova Scotia.  Visitors can go for a harbour cruise in home port of Lunenburg or in one of the other ports on the schedule. Cruise days are marked on our 2020 sailing schedule. There are 2 cruises a day, one at 9:30 a.m. and one at 1:30 p.m. Each cruise lasts for two hours. You can book a cruise online or by calling 1-855-640-3177. Visit this website for more info: https://bluenose.novascotia.ca/. Next year is its 100th birthday and many celebrations will be taking place in and around Lunenburg. The Bluenose will be there as will many others. Not only does the festival feature many boats, it also has great music and food. Lunenburg itself is a very picturesque town, so make sure to grab your camera and capture the action.

Nova Scotia’s Lobster Trail

Did you know that 50,000 tonnes of lobster are hauled from Nova Scotia
waters every year and there almost just as many ways to serve it? Here we have some of the most fertile lobster fishing grounds, not just in Canada, but on the planet. If you want a true, authentic lobster experience then you’ve come to the right place! The foodies will truly enjoy Nova Scotia’s Lobster Trail. It works like this; you arrive at a Lobster Trail Shop where you can ask for a “passport” (you can also access your passport online). Next, you travel along the route, at your own pace and stopping at whichever restaurant you please. When you eat Lobster at a location, you get a stamp in your passport. After getting three (3) stamps in your passport, you are eligible to enter a prize draw. Maps, Hours of opening and other information can be found on the Nova Scotia Lobster Trail website https://novascotialobstertrail.com/ .

Compass Distillers is located in the North End neighborhood of Halifax. Compass is a well known craft distiller located in the heart of a thriving city. The production facility includes everything needed to take raw ingredients and craft them into fine spirits. The front of the facility is marked by The Tower, which houses tasting room and retail space.  In the top of the tower there is a two level, two bedroom apartment with harbour view and a BBQ on the roof top deck! This is the place where you will sleep at the top of the tower just steps from Compass Distillers Tasting Room … literally! Also, you are just steps from some of Halifax’s best restaurants, bars, breweries, and a cidery…
