In this e-news, we highlight Overseas France: the Reunion island, recently listed as a Unesco world heritage site, Martinique, famous for its dazzling nature as well as its rich culture, Guadeloupe, where exotic flavours appeal to gourmets and Tahiti’s beautiful underwaters, a wonder for divers and other water-sport fans alike.
September is grape harvest season, a key moment in all the wine-producing French regions. Many have contacted us to know how to participate, so here are a few châteaux where you can give a hand! Very soon, you will also be able to follow the winners of the Discover France by its wines contest, on franceguide.com. François, Charlotte, Rico and Rose will share with you their impressions, tastings and encounters with the winegrowers.

Quebecers to fly non-stop to Barbados
Air Canada reinstates non-stop service from Montreal to Barbados for Summer 2010
June 17, 2010 (Toronto, ON) - This summer Quebecers will have one more way to celebrate in the sun when Air Canada reinstates its direct flight from Montreal, Quebec to Barbados on June 25, 2010. The non-stop summer service which returns after a brief hiatus will provide Quebec-based Canadians an easier and faster way to enjoy the rich Barbados culture, cuisine and nightlife.
“Canadians have long enjoyed a strong relationship with Barbados, particularly those in French Canada, that’s one of the many reasons why Air Canada has provided more than 60 years of service to Barbados,” says Cheryl Carter, Senior Business Development Manager of the Barbados Tourism Authority in Canada. “In 2009 a record number 63,826 Canadians visited Barbados, an 11.7 per cent increase over the previous year. With the re-launch of the direct service from Montreal and the fantastic prices which are being offered by Air Canada, we expect to see significant growth from this Canadian region.”
The direct service will run once weekly every Sunday until September 5, 2010 providing additional seats to those interested in family vacations, summer weddings or the longest and best known summer festival in the Caribbean, ‘Crop Over.’
The approximately five hour flight will fly from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to the Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados , on a A-319 aircraft with 120 seats. For further information or to book a flight visit www.aircanada.com<http://www.aircanada.com>; For suggestions on what to see and do in Barbados visit www.visitbarbados.org<http://www.visitbarbados.org>
