Charlevoix, QC, Canada – the region that is known for the mount of Les Éboulements – a 54 km crater. Its topography was formed due to meteorite impact some 400 million years ago. Several glaciations left traces as well… When travelling the Mountain Road you have a chance to observe an ancient geological formation which is part of Laurentian Mountains.

The St. Lawrence River borders the region’s east coast and presents breathtaking landscapes which may be enjoyed from the St. Lawrence Route, one of the most scenic roads in North America. In this area, the waters are brackish and the tides phenomenon is ever present. The St. Lawrence estuary and the Saguenay fjord create conditions favourable to the marine mammals’ diet; several whale species, seals and sea birds may be observed. The area offers many activities during summer and winter, so no matter the season you will find something to do!

Like golf – make sure to visit the Le Manoir Richelieu golf course! Rich history of the place adds to the spectacular views. The Golf Club was inaugurated on June 18, 1925 by former U.S. President William H. Taft, who spent his summers in the great region of Pointe-au-Pic. This golf course was originally designed by the English golf architect Herbert Strong.  At every point admire the landscape and the great design that the St-Lawrence River offers to each visitor. L’Isle-aux-Coudres

L’Isle-aux-Coudres is located in the heart of the St. Lawrence River, two kilometers from the north shore. In 1815, the absence of effective mills for grinding grains caused a famine on the island. The Séminaire de Québec approved the construction of a watermill that was completed in 1825. Classified according to the Law on Cultural Heritage in the early sixties, the second life of the Mill began in 1982 and today it is functional again. “BOOTLEGGER”

La Maison du Bootlegger was a famous “Speakeasy” during the prohibitions years and is renowned today for it’s unique and original concept that offers you a memorable evening composed of a guided tour of it’s ingenious maze that links secret doors, hidden bars and private rooms followed by exquisite barbecue diner grilled on a real charcoal pit and a rock & roll show with Joey Tardif and the Bootlegger House Band.
